The Fragility/Solidity Project

"Fragility/Solidity" is a growing portrait series questioning the balance between fragility and solidity, vulnerability and immunity. My aim is to be able to share a project that is born from the idea that positive vulnerability is the mental state that brings us all together.

I want this to be a project that is inclusive and open-minded. There are no taboos but at the same time I take great care to listen to what you would like to 'show' to others.
The different parts of this series are born from conversations with vulnerability at its core.

During these photo sessions, the aim is to have a candid conversation between model and photographer. Real connection sparks real portraits. The photo series themselves are the visual result of this connection, but also an invitation to have meaningful conversations with each other.

An extra dimension to the Fragility/Solidity series is added by the locations that we visit during the photoshoots. I try to find locations that are visually interesting but also 'vulnerable' in a way: run-down buildings, places that are abandoned and neglected, areas that are threatened by destruction or are rendered 'obsolete in the public eye'.

I choose not to openly communicate about these locations to try to 'preserve' them.

If you want to be part of this series, we first have a chat about the goal of the Fragility/Solidity project, the way I work, and what you get out of it.
